Following are some questions that we are frequently asked:

Q. How can I tell if I’m pregnant?

A. The first step is to take a urine pregnancy test. We offer high-sensitivity lab-quality urine pregnancy tests. If the urine test is positive and you are at least 6 weeks from the first day of your last menstrual period, an ultrasound can be performed to determine a viable intrauterine pregnancy. Ultrasound is a way to diagnose pregnancy.

If you are pregnant, you may experience:

- A missed period
- Nausea (with or without vomiting)
- Fatigue or tiredness
- Swollen or tender breasts
- More frequent urination

Q. How can I tell if I am having a miscarriage?

A. More than 80% of miscarriages occur within the first three months of pregnancy.

Some symptoms of miscarriage include:

- Cramping
- Abdominal pain
- Fever
- Weakness
- Bleeding that progresses from light to heavy

Q. What are my options?

A. Abortion, adoption, parenting

Q. What types of abortion are available?

A. Surgical abortion requires a physician placing a catheter-type tube into the uterus by enlarging the cervix. The tube is then attached to suction and scrapes the lining of the uterus to remove all parts of the fetus. This procedure, as well as cost, varies depending on the age of the pregnancy. As with any surgical procedure, there are risks.

A. Medical Abortion is the use of medications to encourage the uterus to expel the fetus. There is no 100% guarantee for the effectiveness of this procedure.

Q. How can I know what is best for me?

A. Gather all the information on all options. Our Center has this information and will answer all questions with accurate information.
